A Huge Success!

Our very first General Meeting of the Mirage PTSA was a huge success! We would like to thank everyone that took time away from their families to join us. WE APPRECIATE YOU!

We discussed our Bylaws(State regulations), our Standing Rules(our rules of operation specific to us) and our Budget for the 2017-2018 school. We submitted these items to our General board members for approval and all passed by unanimous vote. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

We also discussed our Calendar of Events and Fundraisers for the upcoming school year, our need for more volunteers and how important our Box Top Drive and Cookie Dough Fundraiser are to support our planned events. We hope they will be even more successful for us this year! KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR OUR FLYERS AND THOSE COOKIE DOUGH ORDER FORMS!!

We reviewed dates for our next General Meeting and increased the number of meetings held per year from 3 to 4 by unanimous vote! We are excited to see more parental involvement this year in the inner workings of the Mirage PTSA. Our second General Meeting will take place on Thursday October 12, 2017 in the Mirage Library. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

First General Meeting August 24, 2017

We are almost through our second week of  school  and our first General Meeting of the 2017-2018 school year your takes place in one week! We are so excited to share the work we have done so far and discuss our upcoming events for the school year!

The meeting will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 6pm -7pm. ALL ARE WELCOME! Even if you are not yet a member of the MiragePTSA, you can attend this meeting. Although you will not be able to vote on issues at this particular meeting, you will learn what we are all about and we will have membership forms available, if you decide to join.  For those of you that are members, we will be discussing our PTSA’s Standing Rules and Bylaws and our budget for the 2017-2018 school year, which will need to be approved by majority vote. We will also discuss our upcoming EVENTS, FUNDRAISERS and VOLUNTEER opportunities! We hope to see you there!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

This year is off to a great start! With the first day of school under our belts, we are ready to take on the school year. We hope 2017-2018 school year is the best yet for the Mirage PTSA! Be sure to check out our BULLETIN BOARD located at the main entrance to Mirage Elementary! We will update it montly so if you have suggestions or comments, please let us know!

Our Cookie Dough Fundraiser will kick-off at the end of this month! It was our top fundraiser last year and we are hoping it will be even more successful this year! And a lot of that depends on YOU! Please keep an eye out for those order forms and ask how you can help us at mirageptsa@gmail.com!

Our first General Meeting is scheduled for August 24th in the Mirage Library from 6pm-7pm. We will be discussing our budget, events and fundraisers for the upcoming school year. We would love to see you there! Did you know that your child has the opportunity to JOIN the Mirage PTSA? Any child, 8 years of age or older, can become a member and attend our General Meetings! Its a great way to get your student involved in their school and feel like they’re making a difference!

Please Excuse Our Dust

Welcome Mirage families to our brand new Mirage PTSA website. This is a learning process and we are still “under construction” at the moment, trying to make this site your go-to for information with links to the school, fundraisers, our Facebook page and more.
Our mission at the Mirage PTSA is to ensure that every child has every opportunity possible to succeed in their education. We believe that families, teachers, students and staff are the backbone of our community. We encourage you to look for opportunities to volunteer. Small or big time commitment- there’s a place for you on our team! Parents, students, grand parents and local community members can ALL  join the Mirage PTSA! We’ve lowered our dues this year to $5 making cost less of a hassle! We hope that you will consider becoming a member.
We would like to start by saying how excited we are for the 2017-2018 school year! We got off to a great start with the Back to School Bash this past Saturday and look forward to all the great events we have planned this year!
