Happy Principal’s Day

We would like to wish a very Happy Principal’s Day(Bosses Day) to one of our favorite people!

A Few Things…

**Cookie Dough Orders can be picked up  Wednesday, October 11th from 2:45 to 6pm. We will not send orders home with students, a parent must come to the school to pick up orders. We will be set up in the Music Room located near the cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you!
**On Thursday, October 12th is our second General meeting of the 2017-2018 school year! We will be discussing upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and last year’s financial audit. The meeting will take place in the Mirage Library from 6-7pm. Speaking of volunteer opportunities, have you been volunteer trained? If not, training will take place prior to the General meeting from 5-6pm! Please join us and see what we’re all about!
**Mirage families, please keep clipping those box tops! Our Box Tops Drive ends on Wednesday, October 18th so there’s still plenty of time to help our school!
**The Book Fair and Parent Teacher Conferences are the week of October 16th-October 20th. Be sure to stop by the Mirage Library and check out the Book Fair while you’re there attending conferences. On Thursday, October 19th the Mirage PTSA will host a Teacher Appreciation Dinner for our hardworking teachers. The food this year will be provided by Sauce@Norterra! What a treat!
**And last, but certainly not least, we have the FALL FESTIVAL just around the corner on Friday, November 3rd! We’ve got bounce houses, an awesome DJ, great food and Henna tattoos! All we need is you! If you can spare an hour of your time that evening and volunteer to take tickets or help us set up/clean up, we would greatly appreciate it! Thank You Letters from our 5th Graders

The Mirage PTSA volunteers our time for the students and teachers of Mirage Elementary. Every kid deserves every opportunity to succeed and to have a little fun, which is why we do things like the Back to School Bash and Fall Festival. With that said, the 5th graders at Mirage are working on their letter writing skills and composed Thank You letters to the Mirage PTSA.

These letters meant a lot to the board, so we thought we’d share with our PTSA members and our Mirage families. They all say the same thing, but a few stood out due to some awesome artwork!

If you would like to join the Mirage PTSA, we will have membership forms available at our next General Meeting on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in the Library from 6-7pm! Box Tops Drive

Our Box Tops Drive runs the whole month of September and through October 18th, so please keep clipping those Box Tops and sending them to school with your kiddos! Make sure they have not expired, as those will not be accepted. The class that collects the most Box Tops (Pre-K through 3rd Grade) (4th Grade through 6th Grade) will win an ICE CREAM PARTY! And let us not forget 2nd place because they will win a COOKIE PARTY!

Have you checked out the new Box Tops Bonus App!? You can earn DOUBLE points for the school by simply scanning your receipt. The Bonus App helps our school as a whole but will not count towards individual class totals.  Check it out! It’s an easy way to help boost your PTSA and our goals for the school year!

Cookie Dough Orders DUE!

Hello Mirage Families!  

Just a reminder that Cookie Dough order forms are due this Wednesday! Please make sure you have the forms and money (cash or check) turned in on or before September 13th!

Orders will be available for pick up at Mirage on Wednesday October 11th!

Fry’s Community Rewards Program

Hey Mirage Families! Did you check out that flyer we sent home last week about the Fry’s Community Rewards Program? You may have missed it with the Cookie Dough order forms and our Box Tops Drive flyer that went out the same day….

We thought we’d post the instructions and the link here on our website, to make it even easier!

Our Fundraisers

Happy Take Home Tuesday, Mirage Families!

There were some very important papers that came home with your kiddos today!


The Cookie Dough fundraiser was our biggest and best last year and we are hoping for even more success this year. Our Box Tops Drive runs twice a year and is always one of our favorite fundraisers because we get offer and Ice Cream Party and Cookie Party to the classes that bring in the most Box Tops! Who doesn’t love Ice Cream and Cookies? But let us not forget the Fry’s Rewards…. it does not take from your Fry’s Rewards points and a portion of the money you spend grocery shopping goes directly to Mirage! A win-win! These fundraisers allow us to put on your favorite Mirage events, such as the FALL FESTIVAL, the Holiday Shoppe and Family Bingo Night! Speaking of FALL FESTIVAL, we will be going over details at our next General Meeting which is scheduled for October 12th, 6pm-7pm in the Mirage Library. We hope to see you there!

The Cookie Dough order forms need to be turned in no later than September 13th! The Box Tops Drive will run the whole month of September and will be collected on October 11th! Fry’s Rewards contributes to your PTSA all year long…. you must renew each year and if you haven’t signed up already… what are you waiting for? It’s easy!

A Huge Success!

Our very first General Meeting of the Mirage PTSA was a huge success! We would like to thank everyone that took time away from their families to join us. WE APPRECIATE YOU!

We discussed our Bylaws(State regulations), our Standing Rules(our rules of operation specific to us) and our Budget for the 2017-2018 school. We submitted these items to our General board members for approval and all passed by unanimous vote. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

We also discussed our Calendar of Events and Fundraisers for the upcoming school year, our need for more volunteers and how important our Box Top Drive and Cookie Dough Fundraiser are to support our planned events. We hope they will be even more successful for us this year! KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR OUR FLYERS AND THOSE COOKIE DOUGH ORDER FORMS!!

We reviewed dates for our next General Meeting and increased the number of meetings held per year from 3 to 4 by unanimous vote! We are excited to see more parental involvement this year in the inner workings of the Mirage PTSA. Our second General Meeting will take place on Thursday October 12, 2017 in the Mirage Library. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

First General Meeting August 24, 2017

We are almost through our second week of  school  and our first General Meeting of the 2017-2018 school year your takes place in one week! We are so excited to share the work we have done so far and discuss our upcoming events for the school year!

The meeting will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 6pm -7pm. ALL ARE WELCOME! Even if you are not yet a member of the MiragePTSA, you can attend this meeting. Although you will not be able to vote on issues at this particular meeting, you will learn what we are all about and we will have membership forms available, if you decide to join.  For those of you that are members, we will be discussing our PTSA’s Standing Rules and Bylaws and our budget for the 2017-2018 school year, which will need to be approved by majority vote. We will also discuss our upcoming EVENTS, FUNDRAISERS and VOLUNTEER opportunities! We hope to see you there!

This year is off to a great start! With the first day of school under our belts, we are ready to take on the school year. We hope 2017-2018 school year is the best yet for the Mirage PTSA! Be sure to check out our BULLETIN BOARD located at the main entrance to Mirage Elementary! We will update it montly so if you have suggestions or comments, please let us know!

Our Cookie Dough Fundraiser will kick-off at the end of this month! It was our top fundraiser last year and we are hoping it will be even more successful this year! And a lot of that depends on YOU! Please keep an eye out for those order forms and ask how you can help us at mirageptsa@gmail.com!

Our first General Meeting is scheduled for August 24th in the Mirage Library from 6pm-7pm. We will be discussing our budget, events and fundraisers for the upcoming school year. We would love to see you there! Did you know that your child has the opportunity to JOIN the Mirage PTSA? Any child, 8 years of age or older, can become a member and attend our General Meetings! Its a great way to get your student involved in their school and feel like they’re making a difference!

Please Excuse Our Dust

Welcome Mirage families to our brand new Mirage PTSA website. This is a learning process and we are still “under construction” at the moment, trying to make this site your go-to for information with links to the school, fundraisers, our Facebook page and more.

Our mission at the Mirage PTSA is to ensure that every child has every opportunity possible to succeed in their education. We believe that families, teachers, students and staff are the backbone of our community. We encourage you to look for opportunities to volunteer. Small or big time commitment- there’s a place for you on our team! Parents, students, grand parents and local community members can ALL  join the Mirage PTSA! We’ve lowered our dues this year to $5 making cost less of a hassle! We hope that you will consider becoming a member.

We would like to start by saying how excited we are for the 2017-2018 school year! We got off to a great start with the Back to School Bash this past Saturday and look forward to all the great events we have planned this year!
