It’s time to turn in those Box Tops! Our Box Tops Drive runs the whole month of January and ends February 18th.

The class from Pre K – 3rd Grade and 4th – 6th Grade with the most Box Tops will earn an Ice Cream Party!

Second place will win a Cookie Party!

Winter Break was fun, but we’re excited to get 2019 started!


There’s a lot happening in the next month, so here’s a quick update:

January 7th – Box Tops Contest has begun! Send them in with your kiddos and their class could win an ice cream or cookie party!

January 22nd – Family Bingo Night! 5:30-7:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. PIZZA and beverages will be served!

January 24th – PTSA General Meeting! The school is hosting 2 sessions of Parent University until 6:45pm. We hope you’ll stick around for a quick PTSA meeting from 7-7:30pm…. get all caught up with us in 30 minutes or less!

February 6th – Whataburger Fundraiser! What’s better than NO SCHOOL on Wednesday? No cooking dinner on a Wednesday night! Head to Whataburger for dinner from 5pm-8pm!

Holiday Shop is a Wrap

See what we did there….

Another successful Holiday Shop is in the books for Mirage PTSA. As always we are overwhelmed by your support. This event is stressful for us, but it makes it all worth it to help these kids learn the spirit of giving and how to budget. We recieved hugs and thank you’s from many students this year, which warms our hearts.


HUGE thank you to our volunteers this year! Lance(Treasurer), Nicole(Secretary) and Janine(Vice President) worked every day, every shift.  Holly Darr, Wil Johnson, Wendy Palmer, TJ Macaluso, Stacey Prozzi and Debi Stalteri were a big help this year as well!

Fall Festival This Friday!

This is one of our favorite events of the year! There will be rides for the kiddos, carnival games run by each grade, a live DJ keeping everyone pumped up, Henna tattoos and delicious food!

Hopefully you have taken advantage of our PRE-SALE prices, if not, wristbands and tickets will be sold at the gate along with Henna Tattoo tickets. Wristbands are ideal for the kiddos, as they will get unlimited rides. Tickets can be used for rides, games and purchases. All the funds we earn go right back to the classroom, as the teachers turn in their tickets at the end of the night and we give them MONEY!

Mirage PTSA will be selling Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Water and Coffee at the event. We’ll also have tons of cool “swag” like smencils and glow bracelets, necklaces and headbands. We’ll also be debuting our brand new t-shirts- $6 for members and $12 for everyone!! Come by and see us!

Volunteers can check in at the first aid station to see where they’re stationed and pick up their awesome volunteer vest!

We can’t do this without you all and we appreciate your support!

Teacher Appreciation Dinner

On the longest day, during Parent/Teacher conferences week, we like to provide dinner for our teachers and staff. Something delicious and easy for all! For 2 years in a row, Sauce Pizza and Wine at Norterra has gone above and beyond! A yummy selection of pizzas, salads and pastas is the perfect pick-me-up.

Cookie Dough order forms and money are due this Thursday September 13th! Please be sure your child’s name, teacher and grade are on the form and also a good contact number. Your cookies will be delivered and available for pick up on October 11th from 2:35-6pm.

WooHoo! Membership Cards!

Hey friends! If you’ve already signed up to be a member, we have your membership cards! We’ll be at the PTSA window tomorrow after school to hand them out. If you can’t make it, please shoot us a message and let us know the best way to get them to you!

We kicked off our biggest and best fundraiser on Thursday, so check your child’s backpack for order forms!

This fundraiser provides us with almost 50% of our income for the year!

School Starts Tuesday

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, for parents anyway!

School starts on Tuesday August 7th! Gates open at 7:45am and class begins at 8am.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation WEEK

May 7th-May 11th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation week! To help celebrate the fantastic staff at Mirage Elementary, the Mirage PTSA provided breakfast on Tuesday morning and lunch on Friday afternoon. We called that lunch Fiesta Friday as lunch was catered by a staff favorite, Valle Luna. We also raffled off some pretty cool prizes, such as an Amazon Fire Tablet, and Echo Dot and some awesome gift cards! It’s our way of saying thank you for their hard work all year long.




If you’d like to be a part of all the awesome things we do here as the Mirage PTSA, please join us for the 2018-2019 school year and become a member! You can volunteer as much or as little as you like, make important decisions regarding budget and events at our General Meetings and really make a difference to the fabulous students at Mirage!
