Teacher and Staff Appreciation WEEK

May 7th-May 11th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation week! To help celebrate the fantastic staff at Mirage Elementary, the Mirage PTSA provided breakfast on Tuesday morning and lunch on Friday afternoon. We called that lunch Fiesta Friday as lunch was catered by a staff favorite, Valle Luna. We also raffled off some pretty cool prizes, such as an Amazon Fire Tablet, and Echo Dot and some awesome gift cards! It’s our way of saying thank you for their hard work all year long.

If you’d like to be a part of all the awesome things we do here as the Mirage PTSA, please join us for the 2018-2019 school year and become a member! You can volunteer as much or as little as you like, make important decisions regarding budget and events at our General Meetings and really make a difference to the fabulous students at Mirage!

Mr. Charles

Mr. Charles has been walking the halls of Mirage Elementary for 25 years. On Friday, May 11th, he retired. He means so much to the students, teachers and staff  and will be greatly missed. He worked closely with Mirage PTSA on all of our events and we would not have been as successful without him. Three cheers for Mr. Charles and wish you the best in your next adventure!

We are so excited to announce that our Mother/Son event will be held at Laser Quest this year! The event is for our Mirage families only and will be on Sunday May 6th from 6-9pm! Laser Quest is located on the SE corner on 35th Avenue and Peoria. Pizza and beverages will be served and there will be a $3 charge at the door! Follow the link below to reserve your game time!!

We will be collecting food donations during our WALK-INS today and tomorrow morning. These donations will help supply breakfast and lunch for the kids at Mirage that depend on the school for breakfast and lunch. You can also drop off donations at the front office.

#RedforEd Walk-In

Mirage PTSA supports our EDUCATORS! We will be having another walk-in this Wednesday, April 18th, at 7:15am. We had a great turnout last week and we’re hoping to DOUBLE it!!
Please come show your support with us and remember to wear RED!!

Here are some pictures from last week’s walk-in!

The Mirage PTSA supports our Arizona teachers, Parents and Support Staff in their fight for Public Education. The cause is not only about a pay increase, which is long overdue and one of the worst rates in the country, but also about increased funding and spending for our schools.
To show your support, please wear RED every Wednesday during the month of April. On Wednesday April 11th at 7:15am, teachers, parents and students will be on 39th Avenue and will walk in to school TOGETHER when the bell rings to start the school day. We hope to see you there!
